Matthew wrote an article called Some nerves: How loud noise may change hearing for the website The Conversation, which publishes articles about diverse topics in research and opinion. The article covers Tenzin and Xiaowen's recent work on how activity affects synapses formed by auditory nerve fibers. The pictures were their idea!
Tenzin received an award for his PhD thesis from the Neuroscience Program at the University at Buffalo. As the notification said: "This award acknowledges not only an outstanding dissertation, but also an exceptional graduate career." Congratulations, Tenzin!
