Matthew gave a talk in a symposium organized by Michael Pecka and Andrea Lingner, "Short-term adaptation in early auditory processing: from synaptic depression to focal perception". The session included talks by Henrique von Gersdorff, Israel Nelken, Andrea, Elisa Krächan, and Jörg Encke. We had a great dinner together to celebrate, where the restaurant owner shared his love of gin with us. It was such an honour to be involved, and great to catch up with many friends.

Matthew was invited by Michael Pecka to visit the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität, near Munich in the village of Martinsreid. It was a trip down Memory Lane for Matthew, who spent an idyllic month here in 2011. It is a great place for auditory neuroscience, and he got to talk over science with a bunch of the denizens. Hope it won't be another eight years before he can come through again!
